What people get wrong

Each of these costs a candidate either money or a test date.

  • Foundations of Reading is not required for Multi-Age Physical Education, even though the license covers PK-12. Ohio scopes that requirement to specific license areas rather than to grade span alone.

Required, but not an exam

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • An approved educator preparation program, traditional or alternative
  • Background check and application through the Ohio educator licensure system
