What people get wrong

Each of these costs a candidate either money or a test date.

  • Michigan states it exactly: both subtests (112 and 113) and a Professional Knowledge and Skills test are required for the MC endorsement.
  • The endorsement covers Health AND Physical Education. You cannot take the physical education subtest alone.
  • If you already passed a Professional Knowledge subtest for another endorsement, it counts here. You never take two.

Required, but not an exam

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • A Michigan-approved educator preparation program, traditional or alternative
  • Application through the Michigan Online Educator Certification System (MOECS)

Now go pass them.

Knowing the list is the easy part. Built To Pass teaches the strategy layer that works on any of these, aimed at the domains where you are actually losing points.
