Each of these costs a candidate either money or a test date.
- Colorado uses Physical Education: Content Knowledge (5091), not the Content and Design test (5095) that Nevada requires. Health (K-12) is a separate endorsement on test 5551 at 155.
- Colorado runs no separate pedagogy exam. The content tests are the whole testing requirement.

- An approved educator preparation program, or an alternative licensure program
- Fingerprinting and application through the CDE online licensing system
