Each of these costs a candidate either money or a test date.
- Mathematics 4-8 is a different field using Middle School Mathematics (5164) at 157.
- Alabama requires a Principles of Learning and Teaching test for every teaching field, matched to the band: K-6 and P-3 take 5622 at 160, 6-12 takes 5624 at 157, and 4-8 and P-12 candidates choose either.
